Chloe DeMars reported to me at HERENOW Creative Network from November 2012 to July 2014. While she was hired primarily as a Social Media Manager for the Whole Foods Market Northern California account, she simultaneously managed our internal social media and was integral in organizing numerous social activities around the office.

Chloe was responsible for monitoring and developing Whole Foods Market’s social communities on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Foursquare. This involved daily interactions, outreach and research, connecting with and utilizing brand influencers, regularly writing and scheduling copy as well as assessing data for fiscal and quarterly metrics reports.

Always eager to pitch new ideas, Chloe launched a monthly Twitter chat, which proved to boost Whole Food’s Twitter following, while working to deepen connections with key influencers and brand advocates. She proved capable of working with those same influencers on multiple campaigns, ultimately crafting a well-established and unique presence for Whole Foods Market in Northern California.

Working with our design team, Chloe also fulfilled a project management role on key web design projects that included micro-sites, blogs, and company pages for various clients including Whole Foods Market. This experience required Chloe to branch out into areas of our business outside of social media which included direct client interaction, and communication with developers.

Chloe has a very social and enthusiastic personality, which proved to be a key trait in helping get our internal social media presence launched. We found that in addition to her digital responsibilities, she helped create a welcoming culture around the office.
